Spätestens seit dem Solo-Erfolg von Seeed-Frontmann Peter Fox ist dürfte selbst der Letzte gemerkt haben, dass Seeed nicht nur als Band funkitionieren. Nach den ECHO-Auszeichnungen für sein Album „Stadtaffe“ ist nun der nächste Seeed-Sänger auf Solpfaden unterwegs. Seit dem 17.Juli liegt Frank Dellé’s Solo-Single „Pound Power“ in den Regalen der Plattenläden. Die Single ist eine Auskopplung aus dem am 21. August erscheinenden Solo-Album „Before I Grow Old“. Frank Dellé, den viele auch unter dem Namen „Eased“ kennen, drehte das Video zu seiner Single in Ghana – dem Heimatland seines Vaters.
Das Video entstand in Ghanas Hauptstadt Accra während eines zweiwöchigen Drehs im Mai. Frank Dellés Intention war, nicht die einseitigen „typischen Afrikabilder“ die man hierzulande kennt, zu zeigen, sondern den Focus auf die unbeschwerte, lebensfrohe Seite des Landes zu richten. Als Frank Dellé sechs war, zog die Familie für sechs Jahre nach Ghana. Im Video selbst sind übrigens viele Cousins und Cousinen des erfolgreichen Künstlers zu sehen.
Ab 2010 wird die Berliner Dancehall-Raggae-Band Seeed nach einer Schaffenspause von 3 Jahren wieder ein Album produzieren. Eine Tour ist ebenfalls schon in Planung . Peter Fox hatte ja bereits angedroht seine Solokarriere nach nur einem Album wieder zu beenden. Wir freuen uns auf alle Neuigkeiten aus dem Hause Seeed.
