Mit ihrem neuen Album „I’m With You“ kehrten die Red Hot Chili Peppers nach dem Ausstieg von John Frusciante erstmals wieder auf die musikalische Bühne zurück. Ersetzt wurde Frusciante durch seinen Freund Josh Klinghoffer, der auch gleich Frusciantes Part beim Songwriting übernahm.
Waren Fans erst skeptisch, ob der neue Mann an der Gitarre den Peppers wirklich weiterhelfen kann, so sind mittlerweile alle Zweifel weggefegt. Schon die ersten beiden Singles machten ganz klar deutlich, dass die Red Hot Chili Peppers nichts von ihrer Stärke und Spielfreude eingebüsst haben. Sie klingen im Gegenteil sogar erstaunlich frisch.
Mit „Look Around“ veröffentlichen sie am 16. März ihre neue Single, hierbei handelt es sich um die dritte Auskopplung aus dem aktuellen Album „I’m With You“. Das Musikvideo feierte kürzlich seine Premiere via MyVideo und ist jetzt natürlich auch bei uns zu sehen. Wer RHCP live sehen möchte hat dieses Jahr nicht viele Gelegenheiten: Die Kalifornier werden am 25. August das neue Festival „Rock im Pott“ in Gelsenkirchen headlinen. Die Show ist der bisher einzige deutsche Festivalauftritt 2012.
