4 Jahre hat er seine Fans warten lassen und startet nun sein „Comeback“, wobei man dies nicht wirklich ganz so bezeichnen kann. Eminem war ja nie wirklich weg, sondern hat sich einfach lange Zeit gelassen für sein neues Album „Relapse“. Zusammen mit 50 Cent und seinem ehemaligen Mentor Dr Dre hat sich Eminem in den letzten Monaten im Studio verbarrikadiert und dort seine neue Platte fertig gestellt.
Als erstes Lebenszeichen gab es nun am 7. April die Single „We Made You“. Das dazugehörige Video ist ein witziger Seitenhieb auf das gesamte Rockstar- und Glamourbusiness. Seit heute kann man die neue Single „We Made You“ auch offiziell im Handel erwerben. Das komplette Album „Relapse“ folgt dann im Mai. Und Eminem hat schon weitere große Pläne. Der Rapper wünscht sich eine Zusammenarbeit mit Soul-Diva Amy Winehouse! Damit will er natürlich auch an seinen grandiosen Erfolg mit dem Mega-Hit „Stan“ anknüpfen. Damals war es die Sängerin Dido, die dem Song im übertragenen Sinne ihre Stimme lieh. Eminem hatte ein Sample ihres Songs „Thank You“ genutzt und dadurch quasi beide Songs zu Welthits gemacht.
Nun könnte eine Zusammenarbeit mit Amy Winehouse diesen Erfolg vielleicht sogar noch toppen. ABER: Amy hat momentan anscheinend keine Zeit und dem Rapper erst mal eine Absage erteilt. Ein Insider sagte dazu: „Amy fühlte sich geschmeichelt durch das Angebot. Sie liebt Hip-Hop und ist ein großer Fan von Eminem. Aber es passte gerade nicht in ihren Zeitplan“. Angeblich befindet sich die Soul-Diva ja derzeit in einer Art Schaffenskrise und kommt mit den Aufnahmen zu ihrem neuen Album nicht so wirklich voran. Eminem hat Verständnis dafür und hofft aber, dass es vielleicht später noch zu einer Zusammenarbeit kommen könnte. Für sein aktuelles Album „Relapse“ ist es ja eh schon zu spät. Die Platte ist im Kasten und steht ab dem 18. Mai zum Verkauf. Er hat ja aber bereits angekündigt, dass noch in diesem Jahr der Nachfolger „Relapse 2“ erscheinen soll.

Laut eigener Aussage beruht die Bewunderung auf Gegenseitigkeit, auch Eminem hat sich als Fan von Amy Winehouse „geoutet“. Allerdings schlägt seine Bewunderung eher humorige Blüten. Im Video zu seiner neuen Single „We Made You“ nimmt der Rapper das gesamte Showbusiness auf die Schippe. Unter anderem bekommen auch Amy Winehouse und ihr Noch-Ehemann Blake Fielder-Civil ihr Fett weg. Beide werden wie viele andere Stars zu „Witzfiguren“ in seinem Musikvideo. Aber schaut es einfach selber an.
