Mit seiner ersten Single "Nothin‘ On You" hat Allroundtalent B.o.B. klargemacht mit wem wir es zu tun haben: Er liefert mit der ersten Single aus seinem Debütalbum einen absoluten Mega-Hit, der sich in den USA und auch UK ohne Umwege an der Spitze der dortigen Single-Charts präsentierte…
Die erste Single "Nothin‘ On You" entstand in Zusammenarbeit mit Bruno Mars, der seine Stimme auch kürzlich Travie McCoy lieh und an dessen Hitsingle "Billionaire" beteiligt war.
Für sein Debütalbum hat sich B.o.B. also nur die besten Partner/innen ausgesucht. Denn auch seine zweite Single "Airplanes" ist in Zusammenarbeit mit einer sehr bekannten Künstlerin entstanden: Hayley Williams!
Hier handelt es sich um die Sängerin der Rockband Paramore, die im letzten Jahr das grandiose Album "Brand New Eyes" veröffentlichten.
Auf der neuen Single "Airplanes" bewiesen B.o.B. und Hayley Williams somit, dass ein HipHop-Track auch mit einer Rocksängerin durchaus gut funktionieren kann.
Inhaltlich zeigt sich B.o.B. auf dem Track nachdenklich und singt schon über eine Zeit, die nach seinen Glanz- und Ruhmzeiten liegen könnte. Allerdings ist der erst 21-jährige Multiinstrumentalist, der alle Instrumente auf seinem Album selbst einspielte, davon momentan meilenweit entfernt.
Neben Bruno Mars und Hayley Williams haben verschiedene namhafte Künstler auf dem Debütalbum "The Adventures Of Bobby Ray" mitgewirkt. So unter anderem Eminem, Rivers Cuomo von Weezer, T.I. Janelle Monáe und auch Lupe Fiasco.
Eigentlich sollte das Album deutschlandweit schon im Mai in den Läden stehen, der Termin verzögerte sich allerdings und so kann man das Debüt nun erst ab dem 27. August in den Händen halten.
Genau eine Woche früher, am 20. August erscheint aber schon die neue, brillante Single "Airplanes" feat. Hayley Williams.
