Eminem startet wieder voll durch. Nach dem Erfolg seiner ersten Single "Not Afraid" veröffentlichte der Rap-Superstar nun direkt die zweite Single "Love The Way You Lie" feat. Rihanna am vergangenen Donnerstag. Beide Songs stammen aus dem aktuellen Album "Recovery", das seit Ende Juni in den Läden steht. Hiermit hat Eminem seine Fans gleich doppelt überrascht, denn einerseits sind seine Texte diesmal überwiegend positiv ausgerichtet und zweitens bekommen sie nach langer Durststrecke nun quasi zwei Alben in kurzer Folge nacheinander…
…die Geburt von "Relapse" im letzten Jahr gestaltete sich als äußerst schwierig und wurde immer wieder verschoben, irgendwann erschien das Album endlich und die Fans waren glücklich. Allerdings gab es auch die Angst, dass man nun wieder so lange auf einen neuen Longplayer, einen Nachfolger warten müsse. Eminem aber hat Vollgas gegeben, sein Leben aufgeräumt und somit auch weit mehr Energie für die Musik. Genau diesen Prozess beschreibt er
weitestgehend in den Tracks auf dem neuen Album "Recovery".
Für dieses Album hat Eminem sich wieder viele namhafte Künstler ins Studio geholt. So wirkten neben Lil‘ Wayne und Kobe unter anderem auch Pink und Rihanna mit.
Letztere ist nun auf der aktuellen, neuen Single "Love The Way You Lie" zu hören.
Im Song selber geht es um das Thema häusliche Gewalt, das sowohl Eminem, als auch Rihanna bestens vertraut sein dürfte. In gewissen Teilen spiegelt der Song und das Video auch die Beziehung von Eminem und seiner Kim wieder. Rihanna ist mit dieser Gewalt bekanntlich ebenfalls bestens vertraut, denn ihr Ex-Freund Chris Brown richtete die Sängerin übel zu.
Im Video wird das Thema dargestellt von Hollywood-Superstar Megan Fox und dem Schauspieler Dominic Monaghan (Herr der Ringe, Lost, Flash Forward): Erst wird geküsst, dann wird geschlagen, um den bildlichen Verlauf einmal kurz zusammenzufassen.
Erschienen ist die neue Single "Love The Way You Lie" von Eminem feat. Rihanna am letzten Donnerstag, 5. August. Der Song ist natürlich auch digital als Download erhältlich. Das komplette Album "Recovery" steht seit dem 21. Juni in den Läden.
Mit den Singles "Not Afraid" und "Love The Way You Lie" kann Eminem somit gleich zwei Songs in den deutschen Top 20 Single-Charts positionieren.
