Die Beatsteaks, derzeit eine der besten deutschen Bands, melden sich mi einer neuen Single zurück. "Automatic" ist die dritte Auskopplung, nach "Milk & Honey" und "Cheap Comments" aus ihrem aktuellen Album "Boombox". Die Single bzw. das dazugehörige Video feiern heute Premiere auf VIVA. Allerdings dürften einige User schonm lange ein Video der neuen Single kennen….
….und das ist auch völlig korrekt so. Die Beat-Crew hat nämlich, vor dem Erscheinen des offiziellen Videos zur neuen Single "Automatic", ein eigenes Video gedreht. Darin sind viele tolle Szenen des Konzertes an der Berliner Wuhlheide, also quasi im Garten der Beatsteaks, zu sehen. Wir finden den Live-Clip wirklich klasse und warum man noch einmal Geld für einen neuen Clip ausgegeben hat, erschliesst sich nicht, aber sei es drum.
Die Single kann man als Download via Amazon MP3 bereits jetzt herunterladen. Die physische Version steht dann ab dem 15. Juli in den Regalen. Neben höchst liebevollem Artwork glänzt dieser Tonträger durch das was drauf ist: zwei Versionen von „Automatic“: eine von der Band selbst überarbeitete und neu gemischte Version sowie ein Radio Edit aus dem Hause Future Cut. Dazu einige der liebsten Lieblingslieder in „selber gespielt“: zwei Songs von den Magnetic Fields, einer von den Soft Boys und „S.N.A.F.T.“ von Ton Steine Scherben.
